What about the sharks in Cocoa Beach?
Expect a good crowd here as this is one of the most popular public beach parks in the area. We like to do our surfing where there is a lifeguard just in case of an emergency situation. There are sharks in the water, and if there was a problem it would nice to get quick assistance.

Wet Shoes make a beach day so much better!
Bring your wet shoes down for Cocoa and Ramp Road Park, as they are perfect for out by the pool and in the kayak. Even more perfect to wear riding the waves!

Beach Parking Suggestions
You can get it all in one spot, Shepard Park Beach Parking. Ron Jons is right across the street so you can park in one spot to hit the beach and the shops.

Which is the Best Public Beach Park?

It is a really good area very close to the pier and has plenty of parking. However, the parking can fill out on very nice weekend day. They sell just about everything you could ever need for a beach day close by here, just in case you forget something. I like swimming in front of the lifeguards.
