South Tampa Kayak Launch Area

Take the kids and bring your whiffle balls and bats. We love to play here after the work day and on the weekends. Parking is free, and does not typically fill up. Good area for children to play, it has a standard sized playground area. The pier is the big deal at this park, plus it has a kayak launch zone.

Al Lopez next to Tampa Stadium
Of the Tampa parks, I think Al Lopez next to Tampa Stadium is the best one. It's really huge and therefore you get a ton of room to play, picnic, and tailgating for the football games. USF plays there are games here as well. For bicycle riding, try the upper tampa bay trail system.

Touring the area for a little bit of fun
They have horses across the street which is so amazing. The playgrounds pretty big and you will like the views. A good area to get out on the water and enjoy the scene.
