My favorite beach park as a child, we would walk down from my house and find sea shells along the shoreline. Loaded with marine life, living near the Riverview Boulevard Park is excellent. You can pop a boat, kayak, or waverunner in like a flash. It is about fifteen to thirty minutes to get out to the various beach parks. Just head west out the Manatee River.
