The Fort Desoto Public Beach is in the largest park within the Pinellas County Park System and is flat out huge. It consists of more than one thousand acres which are made up of five inter-connected islands. You don't really realize that it is five islands, not just one. You take the state toll road named the Pinellas Bayway to get here.
