Late summer is a great time in Orlando
The good thing about the Orlando area is the extended summers and water sports play. September and October are the late summer season and perfect for Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach Waterpark. We stay here because you can get to everything so quickly.

Last-minute hotel deals in Orlando
We use some of the online tools and booked a stay during the summer at about 40% off. The best thing to do is to make last-minute reservations. Most of the Orlando hotels will discount better rooms that are available once they realize it's probably not going to get booked at a normal price.

One thing about Orlando, the hotels offer discounts just about every single month of the year. We watch for them once a week or so and make our plans when the values jump off of the page. The hotels along International Drive have so much competition. Vistana was perfect, it is an excellent choice for the area.
