I would recommend here for Family Vacations
Not sure if that is a reasonable drive for you, but Sanibel is better for families with young children as compared to Fort Lauderdale or Miami. I love that town and Captiva. Maybe a three or four day weekend sometime soon. Just an idea to ponder, as anytime is a good time for beach bar fun!

Voice to Text out by the Pool!
Out here by the hotel swimming pool now. Trying to use the voice to text message, the lingo software. I wish I could figure out how to get the capitals at the beginning of the sentence. i think it's pretty good for sending vacation message to those back home.

Sanibel Sunsets
The sunsets in Sanibel must be the best of anywhere around. The dolphin encounters just made our trip. We feel truly fortunate to stay for a weekend and be able to call this special place home. A one-of-a-kind Playful Hotel!

The hotel is perfect for romance or family vacations. You will love walking down the beach and shelling. Bring your bicycles or rent, as you can quickly get to restaurants and attractions.
