Things to do in Sarasota Florida?
We got to see the Boat Parade of Lights during our vacation and that was a treat. I would also recommend the Marina Jack Restaurant, Bayfront Park, walk downtown for Breakfast, Lido Beach, Siesta Key, and Centennial Park.

Sarasota Area Vacations
The Longboat Key Hilton is a wonderful spot for a Florida weekend getaway or extended vacation. The water along the gulf is perfect to swim and the beach is really long there, and you can take some really lengthy walks in either direction. Be sure to checkout Thompson Park.

Trendy Sarasota Fun
You will have to try one of the new and trendy restaurants that is all the rave here in Downtown Sarasota. Cru Bistro & Wine Bar is the spot. Cinco De Mayo is another restaurant option.

We think the beaches in the area are magnificent

I really like the region and would have to recommend Bradenton Beach and Sarasota as top 10 Florida vacation destinations. Both locations have miles and miles of beaches, so getting a hotel at a reasonable price is not so difficult. The beach bars are really focused on live music and it starts even in the daytime. Grilled seafood is the food of choice.
