We like to go during the beach swimming season
This is a really nice city center and beach area, you can get sweet deals during the summer. We did notice how much cooler the water temperatures are here as compared to down our way in the Florida Keys. I would definitely do a water temperature look-up to know what the water temperature is going to be, before you book your Florida vacation.

Fernandina Beach Historic Downtown District
Do be sure to see the Fernandina Beach's historic area, it is the coolest old town. A real seaport village, now lots of shops, bars, and seafood stops. They have tons of these 19th century Victorian homes, very impressive.

Really long beach, very long and they go on forever are so nice to tour. It takes a bit of time and the benefits for the shoreline lover are just too good. Keep a bunch of cash or your visa to be able and hit any of the beach bars. Good place, nice for one week vacations.
