We saw the Boat Parade here
The zany boat parade cruised from USF Bayboro, passing the Pier, and goes right here to the Vinoy Marina Basin. It is great, all the magic and scenic waters of Tampa Bay.

Where we like to vacation in Florida
Staying in the area gives you a couple of choices. Downtown has all the concerts and the neat things going on so it is a great choice. There are three or four parks kind of consecutive in a row downtown. Very rare, a true blessing for a city center. You can stay over at the beaches and that is always a winner, just drive over for any the day time adventures downtown.

Vinoy Hotel Pool Party
This is it, the perfect and convenient Memorial Day escapes from coast to coast in Florida. We will do it again. Plus cannot wait for the next rib-fest (or vinoy pool party), it is all good just pick a place to go.

One cannot beat this area for scenic beauty nestled next to a busy and vibrant shopping district. This town is modeled perfectly around the waterfront, with an assortment of outdoor cafes, bars, and coffee shops. St. Petersburg did the unthinkable, they did not sell out all of the waterfront property, instead they keep it as the people's playground.
