Love the Beach and Area

It is a lovely area when driving from Islamorada to the Lower Keys. Parking is limited, but most people just stop and check it out for less than a half hour. The area is called Matecumbe Harbor by boaters, and this location is close to a bunch of neat attractions just to the north in Islamorada.

It is a Beautiful Drive on the Overseas Highway
Thanks for all the info for vacation planning. I made it right at 4pm, no problems and about two hours to get out of the Keys from Mile Marker Zero, the Beachside Marriott. Before my next trip, I will get AAA.

Matecumbe Harbor Beach Area
If you can swing a boat rental for the day, go with it and you can pull right up on the beach here. Bring your own snacks and frozen cocktails, and you will need them with so much snorkel time.
