Where to go sightseeing in St. Petersburg?

We really liked the area called St. Pete Beach, as mega parking makes it very easy. Some people call the area Pass-a-Grille. Once you park your car in the parking lot you can walk north up the beach and there are tons of beach bars you can enjoy. We like the places where you can watch the volleyball players while you have your cocktails and lunch.

What is the best beach near St. Petersburg?
Things have really changed along the shoreline as people use all kinds of crazy water toys to enhance the experience. You'll see it all from paddleball to motorized kite boarding. What fun. The sand is really nice, maybe the best in Florida. Our top pick is Madeira Beach, because of all the bars at John's Pass Village.
