One thing many do not even think of is using your boat to find sea shells! Yes, the quantity and variety of seashells have made both Sanibel and Captiva so popular for shelling. Visitors come from all over Florida and further to pick up some of our treasures. When you see people doubled over and looking for shells, it is called the Sanibel Stoop! North Captiva is excellent by boat for shells, about 15 minutes from the boat ramp.
Facebook Fans of Cayo Costa I like Cayo Costa, there are tons of places to pull up and hop out on the shore. It is so pretty and no buildings, condos, or hotels. Just nature, this is the spot to go.
