Do not expect to find a larger or wider area for bicycle riding on the island. On this side of the city of Key West you have more room to roam. Try riding up and the stock island if you really want to see how some of the locals live. They are working on having a trail system that completely covers the Florida Keys. Monroe County is one of the more bicycle friendly districts and all of Florida.

Love to Ride down by Smathers
You have to get the Wii and get the Gold's Gym Cardio Bicycle Workout. It rocks, especially when you have the florida keys scenery.

Good Beach Zones Nearby
Smathers Beach is a wonderful beach to visit, with soft white sand, and calm cool waters. Higgs Beach is also nice, with lots of picnic tables available for your dining enjoyment.
