It is incredible how they build historic things, even some of the landmarks of Key West are of the mid-1800s. St. Paul's was built only in 1919, because the two buildings prior to it were taken out by disasters. One could guess it, but it was fire and hurricane. The Porter House is right around the corner and wait until you see the Walgreens, formerly The Strand Theater.

What to see when you arrive to Mile Marker Zero There are some places you have to see to appreciate our great history. Yes, there is lots to do off Duval, before happy hour! Here are a few that I like the best. All have a huge history. (1) Turtle Kraals (2) The Armory (3) Mel Fisher Maritime (4) Butterfly Conservatory (5) Customs House (6) Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden (7) Mallory Square (8) Heritage House Museum (9) La Concha (10) Eduardo H. Gato House.
