One tip we learned for swimming around the island of Key West is to be sure and wear footwear meant to get wet. Yes, they make a whole bunch of casual footwear and it type of structure that will not absorb any water and is very comfortable. That way you walk right down into the water with these swim-sandals on and your feet day nick free.

Sunset Swim in Key West All of the beach zones here are fun, try Simonton for a sunset swim. Similar to Vernon Street Beach, but on the opposite side of the island.
